Notes and bookmarks cut knowledge into isolated fragments: you remember the conclusion, but forget why it holds. Scixiv is a derivation tool — every piece of knowledge can be derived from other knowledge through an explicit proof. Conclusions point to their premises, premises have their own origins, and knowledge grows into traceable chains of logic.

To keep every derivation rigorous and checkable, Scixiv is built on Zeroth Order Logic: a proof only concerns how propositions entail one another, so anyone can walk a chain and verify each step in person.

ProofBundles a set of propositions with an inference to derive a piece of knowledge. Proofs are the edges that tie conclusions to their premises.

Prove & DisproveA proof cuts both ways: it can establish a piece of knowledge, or refute it by showing that the premises do not entail it after all.

ReviewThe community examines every proof, verifying or doubting it. A chain is only as strong as its jointly inspected links.
